Soda Can Pins

This was a class at the PCCRAFTS convention 2005 ~ Taught by Maggie V. and Karen U.

~ Made with a Sizzix Machine ~

1. First get an empty, cleaned soda pop can. And take the top off of it with a can opener.

2. Once the top is off, cut the pop can down the center.

3. Now cut the other end off the pop can.

4. It should now look like this.

5. You can take a brayer to flaten out the metal of the soda pop can.

6. Now place the flatten soda can metal down on the plastic board of your sizzix machine. Place your favorite die right on top.

7. Now pull down on the handle to die cut the shape out of the soda can.

8. Now you will need ot do the same thing with a foam sheet or plastic placemat.

9. Now pull down on the handle to die cut the shape out of the foam sheet / plastic placemat.

10. Below you will see the die cut shapes cut out of the foam and the metal soda can.

11. Now you want to take the 2 die cut shapes , one soda can shape and one foam shape, and glue them togther.

12. We used a permenent adhesive glue stick.

13. Here you will see them glued together.

14. Once it is dried you can glue a pin back on or a magnet to the back side, which is the foam.

15. Below is a photo frame we made.

would love ro see whar the photo frame looks like completed. some of the graphics did not show up on my computer instead I got a blank box with a small red x in the left corner. Do you know why some would show up and some did not? I just love thed ones that did show up thank you for giving us the incentive.
