INKJET SHRINK SHEETS

If you were a kid during the 70's then you may remember shrink sheets. These sheets are 8 1/2"x11" and are clear thin plastic. Then, when the print is placed in the oven, it shrinks to about 1/2 its original size and becomes hard plastic. It is great for custom jewelry and special christmas ornaments.

Step 1
Design your print. Keep in mind that lighter prints produce better results. You may even want to lighten the image before you print it.
Step 2
Print the work. We have found that "photo" or "high quality" combined with plain paper does about the best job. Once printed, you must let the ink dry completely. We recommend letting it sit overnight.
Step 3
Now cut the prints off the sheet. Scissors work fine but an inexpensive paper cutter does an excellent job for this. If you plan on hanging your print, now is when you need to punch a hole in the objects.
Step 4
Next, preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Do not set it any higher as the prints will burn.Place the objects PRINTED SIDE DOWN on a cookie sheet. Now put it in the oven and watch it shrink!!!
Step 5
The object will look distorted as it shrinks down to about 40% its original size.
Step 6
TADA!!!!!!!!
