Make Your Own Mouse Pads

Once you iron on the transfer paper, it should be noted that these objects become waterproof-- condensation does not cause the printing on the coasters to smear. Use standard t-shirt transfer paper (Hot peel or the new Cold peel). Anything you can print on your printer can be ironed onto the mouse pads or coasters. These make a great gift idea or can be used as a promotion. They are manufactured with a 100% white polyester fabric top cover and a black rubber base. Feel free to print and use this page as a reference.

Step 1

Design your print. NOTE: Be sure to "reverse" the image here so it lays out on the object properly. Also, print the design on plain paper first to ensure you have it sized right.

Step 2

Print the work. We find that "photo" quality combined with "plain paper" material setting does the best job.

Step 3

Now let the iron heat up. This will take several minutes. Set it on high with no steam.

Step 4

Now position the mouse pad over the image. This is where you want to have overhang so the image completely covers the mouse pad.

Step 5

Now comes a crucial step. Flip the mouse pad and transfer paper over. Be sure to pinch them together so the transfer paper does not slip. Once you have flipped these over, you use a desk lamp to see the edges of the mouse pad through the transfer.

Step 6

Now iron. How well you iron the transfer determines the quality of the product. Start in the center of the mouse pad and work your way out moving the iron back and forth. Move the iron steadily so as to evenly heat the transfer. After about 1 minute, it should be transferred. You must use lots of HEAT and lots of PRESSURE.

Step 7

Peel the backing. For better results, keep the iron on the object as you peel.

Step 8

Now go tell your friends about it !!!!!!!
