Watch KitBe the first kid on the block with one of these!! The face is 1 1/4" in diameter and the time piece portion is 1/2" in diameter. This is how it works: Design the face. The ready made templates make it easier but you can also design it from scratch by simply drawing a 1 1/4" circle in a print program and placing your design within the margins. Make a test print on plain paper and test it out in the watch. This is also good practice if you are new to making these. Insert your final print in the watch and show it off to everyone!!! Feel free to print and use this page as a reference.
Step 1 Either use one of our templates or start by drawing a 1 1/4" in diameter circle on the page. | Step 2 Now take the image you want to place in the face and place it over the template. | Step 3 Arrange the image behind the template so you can size it and start to get a feel for how the print will look. | Step 4 For reference, this image is zoomed in on but the actual size is 1 1/4" in diameter. | Step 5 You can now duplicate the print several times as you are going to want to experiment with cutting out the face and placing it in the watch. | Step 6 As with any project, print it out on plain paper first to test it. | Step 7 The next step is to remove the back of the watch and prepare it for inserting the print. | | Step 8 After sizing and printing your work, you carefully cut it off the sheet. In order to get a perfect circle around the dial and hands, it is recommended you purchase the kit first as it contains the right size punch to do this. | Step 9 The picture shows how you lightly pry up on the face. It is not removed but simply lifted up to allow insertion of the print. In addition, we do not recommend using adhesive on the print as when the watch is assembled, the pressure from the backing of the watch will hold your print in place. | Step 10 This is a rather involved craft so you will need to have an extra amount of patience when first learning how it works, but the results you can get are amazing!! | Click on the Store to order your supplies!
